Marathon Quest

Marathon Quest
Martin Parnell will attempt to run 250 marathons in 2010. His goal is to raise $250,000 for Right To Play.
Right To Play is an humanitarian organization that uses sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace with children and communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world.
Right To Play also works in Canadian communities to inspire children and support their right to grow and learn through physical activity. More than 4,500 schools in Canada use the Right To Play program.
To raise $250,000, Martin will run all 250 marathons between January 1st and December 31st 2010. He'll cover a distance of 10,550km or 6550miles, which is approximately the same distance as a run from Cochrane to Boston then west through the US to Vancouver and back to Cochrane.
Neil Z. at Cool Kids has been talking this guy Martin Parnell (and his Quest) up lately on his blog. Then, like the Kanadian Rat Bastard he is (Neil, not Martin), he directly asks me to do a post on it! What a rat bastard! Because if I refuse, then I look like a Kanadian Rat Bastard.

Now, I don't mind looking like a Rat Bastard because I am one and I even wear an "I Am A  Proud Rat Bastard" pin on my my lapel at all times. I also have a tramp stamp on my ass that sez: "I Am a R-"

- and then it's continued on the next ass because as I've said mine is an xxx-small Irish ass and the whole tattoo won't fit.

But I'll be fucked seven ways from Sunday if I'll be mistaken for a Kanadian Rat Bastard.

So here's your post, Neil, you Rat Bastard! The joke's on you because only 7 people read this blog and one of them is illiterate so he just comes for the pix-churs.

Seriously, this guy Martin Parnell's quest looks to be a worthy one. Please donate if you're of a mind to.

I think they even take Kanadian money.

  1. Hell, I plan to WIN 250 marathons this year. (I also plan to be rather disappointed.)

I don't do things that involve the words "improve," "develop," "foster," "inspire," and "support" in their promotions. My money goes to half-way houses for girls who won't go all the way. But you breeders can squander your cash on that so-called next generation and I won't complain. Much.

  2. I am here to comment that after I got past the initial disappointment of finding out that it was not Glaven who was embarking on a marathon quest, I stopped reading the blogpost.

It is not the first or last time I will have been disappointed by a blogpost at SUYGBYSSWRIAS...

  3. TAKE Canadian money???? They prefer it. Less laundering needed after.

  4. I'm with GeorgiaSnail, G. I thought you were going to drop some big marathon announcement on us.

  5. I'm illiterate too. Where my pix-churs, homie?

  6. maybe you should change the title of this post...
